Icing on the Cake

An unexpected visitor arrived. In the life of Yuri Kiselyov, a man accustomed to dealing only with people of his own ilk, something unusual happened: he accepted the job of protecting Cheriot Goodnight, a famous North American sports star who belonged to a world completely alien to his own—a world he found repulsive and distant. “Up close you’re even prettier, handsome.” From their first meeting, Yuri thought they were totally incompatible. Cheriot was an Alpha who threw out compliments freely, and Yuri was sure he could never get close to someone like that. “So Yuri was tr*sh.” As expected, their relationship deteriorated rapidly after he accepted the assignment. The moment Cheriot discovered Yuri’s true identity, his demeanor shifted. The man who deeply hated criminals rejected Yuri immediately, his harsh words a stark contrast to his earlier friendliness. However, what seemed like a simple conflict turned into a direct threat against Cheriot’s life. Yuri had no choice but to take charge of his protection until a new bodyguard could be found. “Didn’t you say you didn’t even want to touch a bad guy?” “Hating you and touching you are two different things.” Although he knew Yuri was a criminal, Cheriot, contrary to his initial attitude, began to confuse him with sweet words. “Why do you think I’m weak, Yuri? I could carry you in my arms without a problem. Hockey players aren’t just good at fighting—we’ve got strength too.” “Is that your type? Is it enough for you that he’s an Omega?” “No matter how you look at it, aren’t I better-looking? When it comes to beauty, I win too, right?” The man, whom Yuri had dismissed as superficial, handed him things he had never dared to desire with the utmost naturalness. In the end, he made Yuri crave a feeling he should never have longed for. Though he knew a relationship was impossible, a spark had already ignited in Yuri’s heart, and his dedicated mission to protect Cheriot began.
